Harris and Katherine were married on June 18, 2022, at Tupelo Cotton Mill in Tupelo, Mississippi. The old mill was a perfect fit for them, with exposed brick, tall factory windows and wide open rooms full of natural light. The ceremony and the reception were both held inside under one roof.
The day began with Katherine and her bridesmaids getting ready in a bright room lined with big windows, while Harris and his groomsmen got ready in their black tuxedos. In his letter to her, Harris wrote, "Katherine, you truly are the joy of my life. My love for you is the strongest emotion that I have ever felt." He went on, "I'm the luckiest man in the world to get to spend my life with somebody as incredible as you."
The two shared a first look in an open room of the mill, surrounded by brick and old window panes, and it was all smiles and hugs from there. The bridesmaids wore long blush dresses, and the bouquets were full of white roses and soft greenery.
Guests sat at round tables draped in white for the ceremony, facing a stage framed with white curtains and tall arrangements of white flowers and greenery. When the officiant asked who presents this woman to be married, Katherine's dad answered, "Her mother and I." The officiant told the couple that everything so far had been their prologue, "a big move to Houston, new jobs, a puppy that ate a passport, fun adventures, and so much love and happiness." Then came the best part: "Today is the beginning of chapter one of your story."
Harris and Katherine repeated their vows and exchanged rings in front of their family and friends. The officiant closed with, "By the power vested in me by the great state of Mississippi, I pronounce you Harris and Katherine as husband and wife," and the whole wedding party threw their hands in the air and cheered.
The reception was full of fun details. A framed concert poster billed the couple as an "Exclusive Performance, 2022 Live in Tupelo," and guests found monogrammed koozies, petit fours, cupcakes topped with team logos and a three tier white cake trimmed with white flowers. A table of framed family photos honored loved ones, and the dance floor stayed packed all night.
Katherine's letter to Harris said it best: "You are my biggest encourager, my biggest supporter, and most importantly, you are the best teammate." She added, "I love you more than life and you are my person," and signed off with a sweet note: "P.S. Thanks for kissing me in the rain."
The night ended with a sparkler send off, with friends and family lining the way as Harris and Katherine climbed into a vintage white car and drove off together.
Congratulations, Harris and Katherine. Thank you for letting us tell your story.
