Jared and Shaye were married on June 14, 2025, at Alvastage Acres in Duck Hill, Mississippi. Their day unfolded between Hopewell Chapel and the Reception Barn, with pastel spring florals and a bright, joyful energy from start to finish.
Shaye got ready before sharing a first look with her bridesmaids on the porch, then with her father inside the chapel. She wore a strapless white gown with a long train, a veil, and white block-heeled sandals. Jared stood out in a bright blue three-piece suit with a white vest and tie. Bridesmaids wore floor-length pale yellow dresses, and groomsmen wore light grey suits with pale yellow ties and vests.
Before the ceremony, Jared and Shaye sat back-to-back in the chapel pews and read private letters. In hers, Shaye wrote that she had prayed for a man who loved his family, his friends, and put his faith in God above all, and that she had no doubt God had handpicked Jared for her. Jared wrote that from the moment they met, something in him shifted, and that the way she loved him helped him love deeper than he thought possible.
The ceremony was indoors in Hopewell Chapel, a white, light-filled wooden chapel with pews, windows, and a large wooden cross at the altar draped in asymmetrical pastel flowers. At the altar, Jared promised to love her, grow with her, laugh with her, cry with her, and build a future with her. Shaye promised to be his best friend, to always listen, and to always laugh with him, especially when he was dancing in the kitchen.
The reception was in the Reception Barn, with white walls, exposed beams, and string lights, plus a covered pavilion with long wooden tables. A greenery photo wall held a pink neon sign reading "The Burchfields." The wedding cake was four white tiers with cascading pastel flowers and a gold Mr & Mrs topper, with custom Funko Pop figures of the couple beside it. Jared's chocolate groom's cake leaned all the way into golf, with golf balls, tees, a miniature golf cart, and a Callaway golf ball lantern nearby.
Guests played the shoe game, danced with glow sticks, and lined the driveway for a sparkler exit. Jared and Shaye left in a dark grey sedan covered in Just Married window writing, toilet paper, and cans trailing from the bumper.
Congratulations, Jared and Shaye. Thank you for letting us tell your story.
