Turner and Bailey’s wedding weekend was pure Clarksdale: blues, big hearts, and a whole lot of fun.
The night before, family and friends gathered for a rehearsal dinner at Levon’s Bar & Grill. The next day, Turner and Bailey said their vows at Clarksdale Methodist Church, a beautiful sanctuary with wooden pews and stained glass windows.
During their first look, Turner surprised Bailey with a custom electric guitar made by Clarksdale blues legend Super Chikan. It was a perfect Delta moment. Bailey’s bouquet of white calla lilies carried a brooch holding three small portraits of loved ones, so they were close by all day.
The reception at The Bank had a live band, a four-tier cake topped with red roses, a guitar guestbook signed by guests, and koozies featuring their dogs, Harley and Heb. Turner and Bailey met at Delta State, but they’re Ole Miss fans through and through, and the reception had its own Ole Miss corner to prove it.
The toasts were full of love and laughter. Turner’s dad said it best: “Bailey, intelligent, driven, music-loving, Ole Miss cheering, you bring out the best in him.”
The night ended with inflatable guitars on the dance floor, red and blue pom-poms lining the exit, and a getaway in a black Camaro.
Congratulations, Turner and Bailey. Thank you for letting us tell your story.
